Three announced a fresh live music initiative to help promote and connect the best upcoming and emerging talent to new opportunities and fans across Ireland.

City Stages is designed to support the next generation of Irish musicians, currently performing on city streets, to progress their careers to the biggest stages in the country. Launching at Three’s Cruises Street store in Limerick on Saturday, November 26th, City Stages will feature a line up comprising of some of Ireland’s most popular buskers. The custom built stage will host a line-up of artists from 12pm with a very special guest headline performance, to be announced. City Stages will return to Limerick in January and will tour Ireland over the coming months, providing a platform for buskers and emerging musicians to perform to new audiences and promote their music, taking artists from the smallest stages to the biggest ones. Applications to perform are now open at 3.ie/CityStages

Those chosen to perform will be given their own dedicated performance slot and recorded content of their performance in addition to access to a series of mentoring masterclasses led by a panel of Irish music industry professionals.

The mentorship will provide the burgeoning musicians with information on everything they need to help progress their music careers, from advice on management and booking live shows to increasing their fan base and pitching their music to media.

The City Stages initiative is supported by Sony Music Ireland and AIM Ireland as well as City Stages ambassadors such as local Limerick hip hop collective Narolane and broadcaster Tracy Clifford. City Stages will also offer artists the opportunity to step up from the streets to the bigger stages, opening for established artists in Irish and International music at some of Ireland’s most well known and loved venues such as 3Olympia and 3Arena.

Speaking on the launch of City Stages, David Ward, Interim Director of Marketing commented: “We are excited to launch City Stages in Limerick and bring this unique activation to life.
