On Friday May 5th Javelin hosted the final year Advertising and Marketing communications students from TU Dublin (TUD) for a presentation of their final year projects. The projects consisted of a brief given by Javelin for the students to work up a full 360 mock advertising campaign for one of their clients – An initiative which Javelin have proudly taken part in for a number of years. The chosen client for this campaign was Diablo Wines.

This challenging brief tested the students to comply to all alcohol regulations of advertising while working to a strict budget. They had the freedom to choose their own marketing mix that they felt was appropriate for the client and campaign, as long as it could be supported by their personal research which was carried out beforehand.

On the day two teams of students presented their research findings and campaigns to members of Javelin, Diablo Wines, and their lecturers. They shared some valuable insights through their research along with some insightful media plans and ideas for the brand. Overall, the level of work was outstanding across the board, showing the future of advertising is bright. Javelin is already looking forward to briefing next year’s students for their final year projects.
