For the 3rd year running IAPI have teamed up with Business in The Community to roll out the World of Work programme to 2nd year students in Holy Child N.S. Sallynoggin.

This programme is an early intervention initiative specifically developed for this age group. The involvement of IAPI and our Members encourages students to consider our industry as a viable career option. The program comprises of six separate school engagements themed around Creativity, Sustainability, A Day in the Life, Site Visits and Soft Skill Development.

We took part in the Day in the Life Session on Wednesday the 29th of November. We were delighted to attend with employees from five IAPI member companies. They spent an hour chatting with the students about their individual career paths and their jobs.

We will be looking for IAPI members to host these students for site visits. These are scheduled to take place in February, and we will be in touch in the New Year requesting assistance in setting these up.
