One last chance for all Irish Young Lions Teams to compete globally and win a pass to Cannes in 2021

As part of LIONS Live, Cannes Lions have just announced the Young Lions Live Award. If you are ready to use your creativity for good and win a ticket to Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2021, the Young Lions Live Award could be for you.

The competition is open to individuals or teams of two and you must be aged between 18-30 years old. Winners receive complimentary passes to Cannes Lions 2021.

Same age restrictions apply as to the national competition, so as long as you are born on or after June 27 1989 you can take part. You can turn 31 later this year and you will still be eligible to use the pass that you win this year to attend next year's festival.

So if you were about to age out of competition and this had been your last year to take part in the Irish Young Lions, then please take one last shot... We'd love to have you there with us.

How does it work?

In partnership with humanitarian organisation, the UN WFP, the brief calls for creative ideas that can help to rebalance the waste-starvation equation – encouraging people to waste less food and contributing to ending world hunger at the same time.

The briefing pack is now available and you’ll have up until 14 June to create a 90 second film and a 500 word description explaining your idea. Please note both must be in English though your film can be subtitled.

About UNWFP

The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian organisation addressing hunger and promoting food security. It feeds over 100 million people a year and also plays a critical role in ensuring those people can also help feed themselves – delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. The UNWFP estimates that the pandemic will see more than a quarter of a billion people suffering acute hunger by the end of the year. This is a global issue that requires immediate attention from people across the world.
