We are delighted to announce that we are running the smash Mental Well-Being First Responder training once again. This training is being brought to you as an expansion of the smash EAP and aims to provide you with some practical tips while engaging staff and colleagues in the arena of Mental Wellbeing and how to act on early warning prompts.
We have had high demand for another session of this training since its initial run last October. Please register on Eventbrite, places are limited to 20, so we would ask that you ensure you can attend on the 22nd.
This workshop focuses on discussing five vital considerations for supporting others with their mental health:
- Active Listening, Non-Judgement and Validation.
- Collaborative Problem Solving.
- Signposting.
- Importance of Boundaries.
- Importance of Self-Care and Self-Compassion.
Delivered by Marguerite Kiely, this workshop is designed to provide a useful introduction to mental health and aims to unpack the term mental health, encouraging participants to view it from different perspectives and consider the impact of stigma and the costs of poor mental health on individuals, organizations, and the broader society.
The workshop also provides brief overview of some of the most common mental health issues – primarily focusing on anxiety and depression.
“Genuinely thank you for the time last week, the session itself was great and lovely to have an in-person experience. A lot to unpack in the 3 hrs but Marguerite was exceptional.” Adam Branigan, Goosebump.
“This was a fantastic training workshop. I learned so much today and I am so delighted I had the opportunity to attend.” Anna Flanagan, Javelin.
