Nick

Nick prides himself on his capacity to get the best possible voice performance from an actor. He started his career with Molinare, a radio and TV audio post-production studio, way back in September 1975. Starting with one studio, Nick opened Angell Sound in 1979, the facility soon expanded to three, with a separate self-op studio for radio programme work. He was involved with numerous award-winning campaigns for products such as Phillips, Heineken, Nationwide Anglia Building Society and Drink Drive, to name but a few. Over the years Nick has sat on many advertising awards juries, chaired a Radio Craft Awards for the Radio Advertising Bureau and the Music and Sound Awards 2015, and was also a jury member for Bafta for Best Sound in a Feature Film for consecutive years from 1997. He continues to engineer and is still enormously enthusiastic with the diversity of scripts he works on. He helps the Radio Advertising Bureau with creative and production seminars and was proud to be the recipient of Fellowship Award of the Radio Advertising Bureau in 2004 and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. The company was also delighted to have been voted Commercial Facility of the Year by the UK Screen Conch Awards 2009.

Antony

Antony hasn’t sat on a BAFTA jury or worked with Peter Sellers, but he has been writing nd directing radio ads for about 25 years, quite a few with Nick Angell at the helm. He’s worked for some big gencies, (DLKW, McCann), and some smaller independents, (BD Network, Rosie Lee), across a broad range of clients and sectors. His radio ads have been heard in most territories in the world and picked up a few awards along the way - as part of successful integrated campaigns - for clients including Virgin, Sky and Orange. As an Independent Creative Director, Copywriter and Strategist, Antony has an appreciation of the practical demands of radio advertising and the exciting possibilities the medium o¬ers. He’s looking forward to this collaboration with Nick and hopes that his insights from agency side will help provide a 360 view of all things radio.
