A 20+ year veteran of media, especially digital media, Nigel is on point for all media affairs at the IPA. His background spans agency (PHD) and media owner (Telegraph Group) in the UK, and internationally (Leo Burnett Hong Kong). He is responsible for representing the media and digital communities within IPA membership and in addition to running the IPA Media Futures Group, oversees the IPA’s digital and technology groups.

 

Nigel is also charged with understanding the implications of emerging technologies to advertising and agencies. As such he makes regular fact finding trips including those to SXSW Interactive & CES, to Silicon Valley and to the Far East. He runs the IPA Brand Tech Group, consisting of innovation leaders from member agencies and is currently central to the delivery of IPA President Sarah Golding’s “Magic and the Machines” agenda. He presents regularly on tech developments that are impacting marketing communications, most notably Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality as of 2017.
