About the Role
Invention Ireland are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Media Account Director to lead and manage a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with an proven track record in social media management and client relations. The respective candidate must have a growth mindset and champion the Invention brand promise – “Dare to do more” in every aspect of their work.

Responsibilities
Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building and nurturing strong relationships.
- Develop a deep understanding of client business objectives, target audiences, and competitive landscape.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and reporting, eAectively communicating campaign performance and strategic recommendations.
- Proactively identify opportunities for account growth and cross selling.
- Work collaboratively with client leadership and inter agency teams.
Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with client goals, channel optimization, and paid social.
- Conduct thorough social media audits and competitive analysis to inform strategic recommendations.
- Stay updated on emerging social media trends, platforms, and best practices.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor a core account team (Senior Account Manager and Account Manager), providing guidance, support.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Oversee the execution of social media campaigns and always on comms, ensuring quality control and adherence to deadlines and budgets.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure always on comms and campaign effectiveness.
- Prepare and present insightful reports to clients, highlighting successes, challenges, and actionable insights.
- Work collaboratively with the paid social account team to ensure the utilization of data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and drive continuous improvement.
Skill, Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a social media or client service role, preferably within an agency setting.
- Proven experience managing and growing client relationships.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, SnapChat etc.) and their respective advertising platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Brandwatch). Preferred but not essential.
- Experience with influencer marketing. Preferred but not essential.
