Isobar Ireland is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager who will be the senior point of contact and will lead best practice ways of working when guiding more junior project managers to deliver medium and large-scale websites and mobile applications, through the entire project lifecycle from inception of planning, execution to final delivery of the product to the client.

The Senior Technical PM will be a leader within Isobar for the delivery of web-based projects and will oversee more junior project managers, guiding them through projects. Encompassing client management, delivery and financials the senior technical project manager will be responsible for the delivery of projects within the PM team. They will also be part responsible for the technical approach taken in solving our client’s problems and the day to day communication with the client on technical requirements of assigned projects. They will also be responsible for resource management and tactical leadership throughout the project. An ability to manage multiple stakeholders including technical third-party suppliers, while ensuring the client is at the center of all we do while we aim to produce award winning work. This role requires a deep understanding of a digital project lifecycle from discovery, user experience, design, development and testing with an ability validate estimates and negotiate scope change when required. Understanding the Agile Project Management methodologies and Scrum development will be required.

Your Main Areas of Responsibility & Accountability

Manage a portfolio of projects through mentoring, leadership and oversight of more junior PM team members, monitoring performance and reporting back to senior management on project KPIs and overall profitability

Manage and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels

Determine the project delivery approach and methodology that best suits the project, user and client requirements

Work closely with the technical architect to evaluate technical choices around the optimum platform/code/hosting for projects, bringing you technical experience and understanding of the user and client to decision making processes

Define project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and internal teams

Develop and maintain detailed estimates, project plans and timelines

Secure internal and external resources when necessary

Responsible for complex program management including 3rd party services, development of user stories and tasks as well as the development and maintenance of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting

Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate change where necessary

Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables

Confidently lead in client meetings and presentations

Aid in monitoring more junior PM staff performance to feed into performance reviews

The Experience & Qualifications You'll Need

Experience in leading project managers and managing cross functional technical teams

4+ years in a similar role with a track record leading on technical client projects

Familiar with able to oversee the running of Sprints, Scrum and Jira

Highly skilled in project management methodologies, especially Agile, able to apply and adapt process to suit team, organisational and project necessities.
