About Language:
Language is an independent research, design and campaign consultancy. We develop new and useful ways of communicating challenging issues for statutory bodies and NGOs. Our core work involves identity creation, design and copywriting for campaigns and organisations.
The role:
This is a central role in a small but mighty design studio. We share a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, and everyone on the team plays an important role in making each day engaging, stimulating and productive.
Full-time and in-person, this is a hands-on job involving management of workflows and of our studio space as a whole. Key aspects of this role include:
- Studio management and administration: digital filing; document management; petty cash; software licensing; studio overheads and facilities (supplies, security, tidiness and atmosphere)
- Project and production management: preparing estimates and timelines; liaison with third party suppliers; sourcing quotes; managing production of print, merchandise and other items; invoicing and archiving; pipeline management and forecasting
- Account management: acting as the bridge between clients and creative staff on various projects; supporting account directors with various account management tasks
The person:
We are seeking someone who can bring efficiencies, improve systems and really take ownership of tasks. A person who can both see and solve issues, someone enthusiastic and ambitious, who can think on their feet and identify areas where we can add value and effect change through our work.
In a nutshell we are looking for someone with:
- Familiarity with Google Suite - additional project management software experience is a plus
- Experience working in an agency environment (or in organisations with significant graphic design/ communications outputs)
- Aptitude and appetite for finance management and business development
- Attention to detail and ability to take initiative when needs arise
- Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks
- Conscientious and responsible
