The purpose of this role is to perform and support the higher risk standard Financial reporting and control activities required each month, quarter and year-end as well as supervise the execution of lower risk activities.

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting & Control Accountant to join our existing Finance team based in Dublin 4. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role within the finance department as we continue to enhance our best-in-class department. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an Accountant to join an ambitious and growing finance department and is a great steppingstone for their career in finance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leads technical accounting excellence, including management of the adoption of new accounting standards
  • Supporting the team with daily cashflow monitoring & working capital management
  • Preparation of P30 and Vat returns
  • Manage the monthly & quarterly reporting close process to tight reporting timelines ensuring integrity and accuracy of reported information to group
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliation, accrual and prepayments on a monthly basis
  • Manage intercompany receivable/payable balance reconciliation process
  • Prepare and create new financial reports to assist the finance team
  • Assist with forecasting reporting and dealing with large excel driven reports
  • Ad Hoc tasks and projects as required

Professional skills:

  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA or equivalent)
  • Big 4 experience preferable
  • Expert technical accounting and IFRS knowledge
  • Excellent commercial awareness and ability to understand and operate across a wide span of influence
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines across multiple workstreams.
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Advance Excel skills
