This fresh, playful, immersive and engaging creativity & innovation event has been designed exclusively for members and their clients. Your host Fergal Brophy, Entrepreneurial Specialist at UCD Innovation and founder at Fergal Brophy Innovation (www.fergalbrophy.com) will facilitate fun, experiential brand communication challenges as well as storytelling socialisers and a fireside chat with key industry people. Invite colleagues and clients and co-create brand communications for the ‘new normal’.
This event is a perfect opportunity for you to catch-up and have some non-pressured time to interact with your clients. If you're missing grabbing a coffee with a client, then invite them to attend one of these events with you.
Each session can only facilitate 20 people (10 pairs) because of the hands-on nature of the training. You must register along with a client of your choice whom you work with regularly. We will be repeating this session on three separate occasions to facilitate more people taking part - so please select the date that suits you best - 23 June, 22 July or 23 July.
This training is partially subsidised by Design Skillnet - this grant is allowing us to provide a lot of free training to IAPI members over the next few months. To facilitate as many agencies as possible benefiting from this training there will be a limit applied per agency for registration to these free sessions. In this highly interactive session you will be asked to Introduce yourself and share any hobbies or interests you’ve developed during lockdown as an ice-breaker. You will then be given a fun online drawing tool to create something unique! (no artistic skills required we promise…). This fab eChallenge teaches us:
- There’s more than 1 solution to a given problem.
- Creativity thrives on limited resources.
- Past experience can be the enemy of innovation.
Fergal will then open discussions on how brands might reposition themselves for the COVID era with a focus on their favourite brand stories so far. You will be encouraged to engage, share and comment on COVID brand stories using Hands Up and Chat Box.
Prototyping a new Brand Communication
- Participants are then tasked to create (in pairs) a new COVID brand communication based on social distancing, hygiene or other.
- Agency and client partnership go to breakout room to brainstorm as a pair.
- Participants make a basic prototype (sketch or Canva) of their new brand communication.
This will end with votes and prizes!!
