Iapi are hosting a virtual briefing on the EU Pay Transparency Directive which takes place on 13th January 10:00am – 11:15am with Nichola Harkin, Head of Employment Law Services at Ibec.
The EU Pay Transparency Directive introduces substantial new measures designed to reduce the gender pay gap and ensure equal pay for equal work by increasing transparency and improving access to salary information. The Directive will be transposed in June 2026 and the scale of preparation required for employers should not be underestimated.
As Senior Leaders within our industry, it is essential that we stay ahead of the legislative and organisational changes that will shape our workplaces in the years ahead. Now is the time for us to understand the implications and begin planning for binding rules to ensure greater openness around pay structures and salary information. Nichola Harkin is Head of Employment Law Services at Ibec advising a diverse range of companies and organisations on employment law issues as well as influencing employment law policy. Nichola has a deep understanding of business and the context in which they operate positioning her uniquely in advising and providing practical assistance to employers navigating complex challenges. She will also lead a discussion on the common challenges facing organisations as they prepare for pay transparency providing an overview of the new rules, discussing common challenges organisations are already facing as they prepare for pay transparency requirements and answering questions you may have.
