Never Sacrifice Creativity Because of Small Budgets
Never Sacrifice Creativity Because of Small Budgets

As we look to develop more consistent and ongoing engagement between the ICAD and IAPI the organisations are establishing a structured approach to holding joint creative speakers events under the existing ICAD program - ICADemy. The intention of this relationship is for both organisations to work in constructive collaboration with a view to providing our respective members greater opportunity to avail of access to unique and engaging events.

The first of the series is entitled Blood not Money: How total commitment, single-minded determination and focus on the quality of the idea can help you to create great work on a small budget. Featuring Colin Hart and Jarrod Banadyga from The Public House and Neil Dawson from Neil A Dawson and Company. We look forward to welcoming you to the Royal College of Surgeons on 13th November for this special event.

About Neil A Dawson
About Neil A Dawson

Founder, Neil A Dawson and Company

Neil recently launched his own advertising company. It’s a new model, taking creative and strategy out of the agency and plugging it directly into the production network.

Giving clients ‘more of what they need and less of what they don’t.’

Prior to this Neil has worked as a creative director in London, Berlin, New York, Cape Town and Dublin.

Neil won back-to-back Cannes Grands Prix for Philips Carousel & Philips Parallel Lines.

His Johnnie Walker Fish commercial transformed the global Keep Walking campaign.

And his VW Wedding ad for Surprisingly Ordinary Prices is the most awarded print ad in advertising history.

About Colin Hart
About Colin Hart

Founder and Creative Director, The Public House

Not many people would set out to start an ad agency in the smoldering rubble of the Celtic Tiger fallout. But Colin Hart is not many people. After Art Directing his way around the world for places like DDB Japan, DDB Canada, M&C Saatchi Australia, and TBWA UK, he returned to Ireland and saw a dangerously outdated agency landscape. One brief at a time, Colin began building a more efficient, effective, creatively-led agency.

Layers were removed, standards were raised, and Dublin has responded in kind, with the likes of Jameson, Paddy Power, JustEat, Goodfella’s and Ryanair all seeking out the agency’s edge and conviction. Colin believes that sometimes the ideas that make you a bit uncomfortable are the ones that pay off, and the growth of The Public House in a short amount of time is proof of that.

About Jarrod Banadyga
About Jarrod Banadyga

Creative Director, The Public House

When Irish people complain about the weather, Jarrod scoffs at them. A light Irish drizzle is a huge upgrade from a Canadian Fargo-esque winter deep freeze in his books. Ireland’s balmy climate aside, Jarrod was brought to Dublin from Vancouver to bring his award-winning copywriting pedigree to The Public House’s roster of clients.

Joining the agency in 2013, he brought with him a wide range of experience including Honda, Toyota, Subway, McDonald’s, EA Sports, Agent Provocateur, and Tourism Canada. He’s earned recognition at the Cannes Lions, The One Show, Communication Arts, New York Festivals and The Webbys. None of those hold a candle to his 1989 Alberta Spelling Bee Championship Trophy. Peaking early in life can be a dangerous thing.
