"When things go wrong, don’t go with them."
Choosing to see the silver lining in any situation is always a first step to a better outcome. It’s more than just believing that good things are to come — it’s an understanding that every negative is actually a positive, depending on how you see it.
There’s no need to deny the reality of negative life events but you should look for the worthwhile and meaningful learning that you can take away from the situation. Always asking yourself what went well, what didn't, what can I learn, how can I adjust my expectations/goals and who can help or support me?
In the first in this series, moderated by Futureheads Council member, Jamie Fulham, Client Manager at Spark Foundry, we are delighted to welcome four young professionals with ambition, drive and enthusiasm to speak about their career and leadership development and how they "seek the silver lining".
They'll share their experiences, and offer tips and insights on what they've learned during these bizarre times (besides baking banana bread!)
- Dominique McMullan, Editorial Director, IMAGE Media
- Thomas Arnold, Co-founder of The GO House
- Geraldine Carton, Co-founder, The Useless Project
- Jake Browne, Co-founder of The GO House
The aim of this webinar is for you to hear from young professionals/entrepreneurs on their own personal and professional experiences whilst working from home - everything from the obstacles to the opportunities; challenges to the changes.
Representing the under 30s and those who are new to the advertising, marketing, and media industries, the Futureheads wish to invite you to join your peers for a lunchtime discussion where you will have the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and in turn shape the industry.
