Strategy leader with experience across multiple categories and both global and local markets. Leading the planning team at Folk, Eimear is passionate about creating collaborative environments in which clients and agencies can work together to create effective and compelling work that delivers growth in all its forms; commercial, sustainable and cultural. Eimear is an award winning strategist at Cannes, Clio, and most recently Effies with both Vodafone and An Post.
Niall Reynolds, Advertising & Marketing Manager, Vodafone Ireland
Niall spent 18 years working on the strategic and creative agency side of marketing in digital, below the line and above the line agencies before moving to the “dark” side of marketing, Brand Management. Currently looks after all Brand communications and touchpoints for Vodafone in Ireland.
Margaret Gilsenan, Chief Strategy Officer & Co-Founder, Boys+Girls
Margaret is Founder and Chief Strategy Officer in Boys+Girls. She is responsible for ensuring the strategy developed meets client’s requirements and adheres to the high strategic and creative standards required of all work in Boys+Girls.
During her career Margaret has, across both international and national brands, won ADFX and Effies at all metal levels. Two Boys+Girls campaigns, Three and ŠKODA, are currently in contention for Effies Best of Europe/Global Best of Best.
Margaret is currently a Board Member of IAPI.
Brian Swords, Global Client Leader, TBWA/Worldwide
Brian started his advertising career in Dublin, at Cawley Nea, an agency where he was one of the main partners. That agency was bought by TBWA in 2002. Since then he has been Managing Director of TBWA\Dublin, TBWA\Shanghai and TBWA\London.
For the past number of years, Brian has primarily focused on managing global clients for TBWA. He is currently the TBWA global lead on both the McDonald’s and Philips accounts.
He also heads up International clients for TBWA\Amsterdam, which involves managing global clients and leading global new business out of that office.
Selected Global brands Brian has worked on include Pernod Ricard, Philips, McDonald‘s, Liberty Global, The London Stock Exchange, Refinitv, AMD, Nissan, Michelin, and Adidas.
Erwin Dito, VP Global Brand Leadership bij McDonald’s
Erwin Dito is VP of Global Brand Leadership at McDonald’s. In his role, Erwin is charged with accelerating marketing transformation across the organization and strengthening McDonald’s greatest assets: its brand and marketers. As leader of the Global Brand team, Erwin helps drives consumer advocacy, cultural brand leadership and business growth for the organization.
Since his first foray into marketing, he has been passionate about Creative Effectiveness. His experience spans 20 years across FMCG and Foodservice brands, notably MARS in the Netherlands and AB-InBev marketing leadership across Europe/UK. Prior to his VP role at McDonald’s, he was Managing Director of McDonald’s Netherlands and behind many Effie-winning campaigns for the brand.
Damian Devaney, Principal & Snr Partner, Dsquared & TBV Global
Damian is both a Senior Partner and Regional President with TBVGlobal and Founder of DSquared. Prior to that, Damian was VP of Marketing and Communications at Smurfit Kappa, leading a global differentiation strategy and organisation change initiative in 34 countries across 3 continents. The highly successful initiative delivered a significant, sustainable increase in the company’s commercial and equity performance. This role was preceded by his position as Marketing Director at O2 Ireland where Damian was responsible for all consumer and business products and services, marketing, and communications whilst building Ireland's most successful and decorated marketing team.
Damian also reversed brand declines in a number of fast-moving consumer goods markets, having previously been Marketing Director at Coca-Cola Ireland where he had responsibility for the full Coca-Cola portfolio, as well as at Diageo working on Guinness and Baileys. He is a fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and a past Chair. He has been Chair of the Commercial and Marketing Committee for Connacht Rugby and subsequently Chair of the Irish Rugby Football Union Commercial and Marketing Committee and is currently Chair of the Judges for the Effie Awards Ireland.
