This online seminar delves into the award winning #ComeIn campaign – a unique cross agency campaign from IAPI, 2FM and BeLonG To Youth Services and will look at the prevailing issues facing the LGBTI+ community in Ireland today.
Keynote speaker, Moninne Griffith is the CEO of BeLonG To Youth Services, Ireland’s national LGBTI+ youth organisation. The landscape of Ireland has changed for members of the LGBTI+ community over the past few decades from the decriminalisation of homosexuality in 1993 to the vote for Marriage Equality for same-sex couples in 2015.
With these changes, some people may wonder if there is a need to support the LGBTI+ community. Moninne will delve into issues facing LGBTI+ youth today and share the impact of storytelling, engaging allies, language and examining our own implicit bias.

Moninne is a passionate social activist with over 20 years’ experience in the fields of advocacy, law, and social justice. She is dedicated to supporting and empowering LGBT+ youth, and achieving a world where they are equal, safe and valued in the diversity of their identities and experiences.
After spending 8 years as Director of Marriage Equality, a single-issue organisation working for, and historically achieving, equality for same-sex couples in Ireland, Moninne is acutely aware of the needs and challenges of the LGBT+ community in Ireland today.
