The Marketing Society of Ireland’s Future Council is seeking two new members to join the team in 2023. The council provides thought leadership, guidance, and networking opportunities for young marketing professionals and is a great way to gain valuable experience and build your professional network.
The Future Council runs events for young professionals in the Irish marketing industry, providing a space for them to network with peers and learn from experts in the field. Their last event, Career Hacks for 2023, saw three leading marketers, Deirdre Wafer (Senior Insights Manager, LinkedIn), Deirdre Macklin (Head of Marketing, Brand and Customer Communications, Ryanair), and Bernie Keogh (Managing Director, A Lust for Life) share valuable insights for people starting out in their careers.
Two roles are available (Vice Chairperson and Social Media Manager), though prospective applicants are encouraged to get in touch even if their professional skillset lies outside the exact requirements for these roles. The Vice Chairperson will support the activities of the Chairperson, including sharing responsibilities and fulfilling the duties of the Chair in the Chair's absence. After 18 months on the Future Council, they will move into the Chairperson position. The Social Media Manager will lead the building of content calendars ahead of each event, creating social posts to announce the event, increasing awareness of the Future Council, and driving engagement within the marketing community.

Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview by the middle of February 2023.
