The Immortal Awards kicked off this year’s judging sessions by unveiling a trio of Finalists that have qualified from this year’s Irish jury day, hosted in partnership with The Public House.

The first shortlist of the year saw the 19 highest-scoring projects from the initial online round of judging make it through to the in-person day, which was judged by a dedicated Irish jury on Monday 3rd October.

It was the first time that Irish jurors have judged in-person at The Immortal Awards and their job was to decide which projects, if any, were to go through to the regional European round of judging as Irish Finalists.

Ultimately, in an afternoon of fun and feisty debate, three projects were deemed strong enough to qualify for the European round of judging as Finalists, representing Irish advertising on the regional stage.

The Immortal Awards 2022 Irish Finalists are:

  • Allianz & Women's Aid - The World's Strongest Women (Entered by In The Company of Huskies)

  • Three Ireland - Jeff's World (Entered by Boys+Girls, Ponder & Framestore)

  • Volkswagen Ireland - The Zero Carbon Billboard (Entered by BBDO Dublin)

The three projects will join the Finalists from the UK and German jury days, alongside the highest scoring work from the rest of the region, at the European round of judging on Friday 14th October.

The best work from Europe will then qualify for the final, global round of judging which will take place on December 1st and see the Finalists from every region compete for an Immortal Award or Commendation status.

Those on this year’s Irish jury were: Brian Durnin (Director, Ponder), Carol Lambert (Board Creative Director, Publicis Dublin), Colin Hart (Founder & Creative Director, The Public House), Damian Hanley (Creative Director, In the Company of Huskies), Ed Leamy (Head of Innovation, BBDO Dublin), Jake O'Driscoll (Creative Director, Boys + Girls), Jen Speirs (Executive Creative Director, Droga5 Dublin), Mags Levingstone (Head of Production, Motherland) and Roisin Keown (Found & Executive Creative Director, The Brill Building).
