Commercial Producers Ireland (CPI) statement, 6th Jan, 2021:

"Unless you are involved in absolutely essential work you just must stay at home" An Taoiseach Micheal Martin, January 6th, 2021

In light of the current seriousness of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the new Government restrictions announced today, and in the spirit of reducing the risk of spreading infection among our crew, cast, suppliers, and location owners, CPI is recommending that filming should be suspended for the time being.

Exceptions can be made for essential public information purposes and/or very small shoots that can be conducted in a fully controlled and safe manner, and where a controlled workplace can be created and maintained.

All pre-production, casting and post-production can continue remotely as per the CPI Guidelines.

We will review this position on a regular basis.

Due to CPI guidance to date, no CPI members have experienced any COVID-19 transmissions on their productions and we are making this recommendation in an effort to ensure that remains the case.
