IAPI welcome nominations to fill three board positions that are opening up for 2025.
If you would like to nominate yourself for election to the IAPI Board, please read more about the election process below.
We are immensely grateful for all the support, time and resources that the three outgoing board members have shared with IAPI over the years across numerous initiatives.
Both Sean Hynes, Creative Director, Bonfire & President of IAPI 2021-2023, and Margaret Gilsenan, Chief Strategy Officer, Boys + Girls have come to the end of their six-year term on the IAPI Board. They will be sorely missed as their contribution to the industry as IAPI Board members over the past six years has been exceptional providing so much of their time, energy, expertise, and insight.
We are also seeking a new Futureheads Chair as Adam Brannigan, Group Account Director, Frank & Bear has come to the end of his two-year term, which included the successful launch of the STEPS mentorship programme. This role is invaluable to IAPI in helping us to identify the challenges faced by younger colleagues and provide them with the support they need.
1. Senior Events / Experiential Professional
Membership of IAPI across the Events and Brand Experience sector has grown exponentially in the last few years so we would welcome someone with a strong background in this sector who can share their specialist knowledge and help IAPI deliver key benefits for these newer members.
2. Media Strategist
While Media is well represented with four senior executives from Core and Group M, we would always welcome more media specialists onto the Board from other media groups so that we can continue to provide relevant initiatives for this sector. We would welcome someone with a strategic planning or future focused role who can augment Board discussions with a different or international perspective to keep abreast of important media developments.
3. Creative Director
With Sean Hynes stepping down, we would welcome another creative director joining the IAPI Board who can continue to keep our focus on creative effectiveness, providing members with inspirational creative events and promoting Irish creativity.
4. Futureheads Chair
The Futureheads Chair is not a board director position, but they do attend board meetings. Their role is to seek out and identify the needs of the younger members across the IAPI membership and bring recommendations to the board on how to meet these needs. This is also a vital role as it helps IAPI shape the industry for the needs of our future leaders.
Those remaining on the Board are:
- Abi Moran, CEO, Folk VML – President, IAPI
- Chris Cashen, Managing Partner - Strategy, Mindshare - Vice-President, IAPI
- Helen Stanley, Finance Business Partner, Core – Treasurer, IAPI
- Neal Davies, Chairman, TBWA\Ireland
- Aoife McCleary, Senior Copywriter, Forsman & Bodenfors Dublin
- Emma Williams, Director, Edelman
- Geraldine Jones, MD, Publicis Dublin
- Anna Doyle, Board Director, Starcom
- Jonathan Conlon, COO, Group M
1. The nominee will have to write a short description of why they feel they can make a valuable contribution to the industry as an IAPI Board member or Futureheads Chair (in light of the roles outlined above) and send this, together with a photo and short biography to Charley Stoney - charley@iapi.com
2. The deadline for nominations is 12 noon, Wednesday 30th October.
3. Following the nominee announcement, Charley will circulate voting papers for completion by every agency MD prior to Thursday 21st November. IAPI will then announce the new Board Members at our 2024 AGM on Thursday 28th November.
If you or a member of your agency is interested in putting themselves forward, please get in touch with Charley via phone or email to discuss it in more detail.
