With Cannes Lions fast approaching, the world will be celebrating the best of the best in advertising.

A select group will be busy learning first-hand from the world's greatest creative minds and industry leaders in the Cannes Lions Creative Academy.

Among them, Jacob Luciano, Creative Director, Connector by Granite, is one of the 30 creatives selected worldwide to join the Creative Academy this year.

"I can't wait to meet and connect with the next generation of creative leaders of the industry and feel extremely honoured to be one of the 30 creatives selected to be part of the Creative Academy this year", adds Jacob.

Jacob brings with him twelve years of experience in creative direction. He has won multiple awards such as Spiders Awards, Horizon Interactive Awards, Lisbon International Advertising Festival, the Prémio Lusófonos, and has been shortlisted twice on the El Ojo.

In 2018 he reached international recognition with his side project NeyType, typography inspired by Neymar's iconic falls in the 2018 World Cup, covered in over 150 countries, including CNN, DesignTaxi, ESPN and BBC reaching over 10 million impressions across social and online news media channels.

In the same year he joined Connector, working with global brands such as Huawei, Dr Oetker, Benecol and L'Óreal. In 2020, Granite acquired Connector, becoming the biggest independent agency in Ireland. Jacob was promoted to the Creative Director role, leading an international team crafting the new agency's creative vision and culture.
