Global DEI Census - 40 more respondents needed from Ireland

There are only FIVE days left to have your say in the 2023 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Census. This is a global, independent and 100% anonymous survey investigating people’s experience of working in our industry. AAI and IAPI are proud to champion this effort on behalf of WFA and EACA, and we hope you can give it 15 minutes of your time, so that the census gets the largest, most robust participation possible.

Globally, the Census is conducted in collaboration with Adweek, Advertising Week, Campaign, Cannes Lions, Effie Worldwide, Global Web Index (GWI), Kantar, IAA, VoxComm and WFA. In total, over 100 organisations across brands, agencies, media, tech are rallying behind this initiative.

In 2021, one in seven respondents said they would consider leaving our industry due to a lack of diversity and inclusion. We are facing an unprecedented talent crisis. Together we hope to identify the problems where action can be taken to make our industry a better place for everyone. Hearing your views will be a critical step to making our industry more diverse and inclusive.

You can see last year's Irish report on our website and it makes for very interesting reading. We hope to be able to publish this year's report as well but need your help in reaching the requisite number of responses. A country report will not be issued without that country reaching over 300 respondents to ensure the validity of the resulting data.

  • It will be open for responses until 30 APRIL
  • It is coordinated in parallel with the UK’s All-In survey, led by the AA, IPA and ISBA
  • It covers the profiles of the respondents and their experience in the workplace
  • Any individual who identifies as working in the advertising industry can fill it in
  • It takes 15 minutes to go through the questionnaire
  • The results will be released globally in June 2023 at Cannes Lions
  • It's totally anonymous!

They will be stored securely, and we will never seek to identify anyone from their responses. You are under no obligation to answer any question; every question has the option to select “Prefer not to answer” if you do not feel comfortable. We only ask that anything you do answer; you answer in a truthful way.

Your responses will help us:

  1. Understand how diverse, equitable and inclusive our industry is today;
  2. See what has changed since the survey was last conducted in 2021;
  3. Identify where action is most needed to drive positive change.
