This year more than ever we are all in need of a bit of Christmas cheer. Some ads this year brought just that, while others sparked a tear.
Let's remind ourselves of this year's outstanding contributions...
SuperValu
It’s been a unique year to say the least. The uncertainty of the past 10 months combined with the need for something to believe in, means this Christmas has a renewed importance for so many of us. And it’s that enthusiasm for a little festive magic that inspired SuperValu’s latest TVC from TBWA\ Dublin.
Dublin Simon Community
The campaign highlights homelessness in Dublin, a city that experiences the highest level of individuals living on the streets, in the country. Right smack, bang in the middle of the capital, a tragedy is unfolding that should never be ignored. Far too many people are homeless in the city that they call home and it’s not good enough.
Three Ireland
Christmas is a time for connecting, and with a different type of holiday season on the horizon, staying connected matters now more than ever. This warm and emotive Christmas campaign for Three entitled ‘Everyone’s a kid at Christmas’ shows us that no matter where you are this Christmas, you can still share those special moments and traditions with family and friends.
St. Vincent de Paul
The campaign highlights the situation faced by many families who live below the poverty line. Already stretched households will face difficult decisions this winter. 'Impossible Choices' reminds us that there are families that are often faced with having to choose between food and heating or giving their children presents.
Lidl Ireland
The magical cross-platform campaign stars a team of busy Lidl Elves, who come to life when the store is closed for the night and indulge themselves in Lidl’s fantastic Christmas fare. All in the spirit of quality control of course.
An Post
'Make a Memory' tells the story of how Christmas traditions can unite generations. In it we are reminded that something as simple as sending love with a Christmas card can evoke memories, bring a smile, and show someone that you are thinking of them.
Woodies
Christmas brings out the best in all of us and this year, Woodie’s and Rothco, part of Accenture Interactive, show us how we can all look out for one another with simple acts of homemaking.
The National Lottery
With someone guaranteed to become a millionaire this Christmas, a Millionaire Raffle ticket from the National Lottery is the one Christmas gift you may not want to give away
Shannon Airport
After a tough trading year for many sectors but especially for aviation, airlines and airports, Shannon Airport recognised that Christmas is still Christmas and despite everything wanted to wish their colleagues, customers and locals a very Merry Christmas in a festive yet relevant way.
