IAPI congratulates all the teams that entered the Cannes Young Lions competition 2022. Each team received the brief on Friday 18 February online via Zoom. Each briefing was presented by the charity for that category.
The categories this year are: Print (sponsored by DMG Media Ireland), Film (sponsored by Sky Media Ireland and Pull the Trigger), Design (sponsored by Smurfit Kappa), Young Marketers (sponsored by Core), Digital (sponsored by Meta), Media (sponsored by Radiocentre Ireland) and PR (sponsored by PRII / PRCA).
Once briefed, each team had their heads down, thinking caps on, and got their entries in on time, despite only having 48 hours to showcase their creative and strategic skills by coming up with a campaign to wow the judges.
The Gold-winning teams will represent Ireland at the global Young Lions competition, held during May/June 2022, with travel, accommodations and festival registration covered by IAPI and their sponsors DMG Media Ireland, Radiocentre Ireland, PRII, PRCA, Pull the Trigger, Sky Media Ireland, Meta, Smurfit Kappa and Core.
Only 7 teams will be selected to go through to compete on a global level at the Cannes Young Lions Competition - the most prestigious international awards in advertising and communications - so we'd like to wish each participant the very best of luck!
