Celebrating the ad industry's best work tackling the climate emergency

This week, Ad Net Zero have announced the launch of the the second year of the Campaign Ad Net Zero Awards.

They have had a brilliant number of entries from their supporters last year and are once again looking for examples of the best work from across the advertising industry which is helping to build a net zero economy.

This year, the awards have been brought in line with the five-step Ad Net Zero Action Plan with categories covering:

Best Practice Categories:

  • Action 1 – best practice in sustainability within a business. There are subcategories for Ad Tech Services, Agency, Advertiser, Media Owner, Production/Experiential.
  • Action 2 – sustainable ad production
  • Action 3 – sustainable media planning
  • Action 4 – sustainable events and/or awards

Sector-Specific Categories: 17 categories exploring Action 5, how advertising is supporting behaviour change in key sectors of the net zero economy. Sectors range from food to finance, telecoms to travel, plus an international category for work that is delivered outside of the UK.

Innovation: new categories recognising Best Business Transformation, Best Progress and Best Start-Up.

Judges will be drawn from a range of sustainability and advertising experts, chaired by Ad Net Zero Chair Seb Munden.

Entries are open until Thursday 8th June (early bird) and the standard deadline is Thursday 29th June, with discounted rate available once again for SMEs. Winners will be announced at a lunchtime ceremony at the Londoner Hotel on November 2nd, including the reveal of the winning Campaign of the Year.

Please download the full entry kit here.

It’s worth noting that entries don’t need to be obvious ‘green’ ads but do need to demonstrate a ‘green’ outcome – Ad Net Zero are looking for evidence of an alignment between commercial and environmental success.
