With the country finally opening up to hospitality and intercounty travel, people in Ireland are hoping to get a holiday this summer, even if it means a staycation at home. With this in mind, ŠKODA have launched a new social and print campaign as we begin our trips around Ireland.

Boys+Girls have developed a campaign to celebrate the Irish staycation with 26 county stamps designed for use on social media. What better way to explore Ireland than by travelling in a ŠKODA and collecting your county stamps as you enjoy your summer holiday?

We’re finally allowed to travel again and wanted to celebrate this amazing chance to appreciate the incredible sights in our own country," said Laurence O’Byrne, Creative Director at Boys+Girls. "Seeing as they are ‘Made for Ireland’, we think ŠKODA is the perfect vehicle for this message - pun intended. Working with Annie is always brilliant - she truly is a world class designer who understands the level of craft we wanted to achieve”.

As ŠKODA’s long-term partner, Boys+Girls developed their ‘Made for Ireland’ platform and this is the next step in that journey. The stamps were designed in collaboration with Annie Atkins Studio, who has worked across many hugely successful films, most notably the Oscar winning ‘Grand Budapest Hotel’. Together with Annie, Boys+Girls designed a passport style stamp for each of the 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland. These will live on social media as filters and stickers, with people encouraged to tag the counties as they travel and reach as many people as possible.

Annie Atkins, Graphic Designer said, “I was delighted to partner with Boys+Girls on this one - it’s a really nice campaign with an important message - stay at home this year. We’ve turned that restriction into a positive by creating these stamps which celebrate the individuality of each of our wonderful 26 counties”.

Ciara Breen, Events and Sponsorship manager from SKODA said, “We are thrilled with this latest work from Boys+Girls. It evolves our Made for Ireland campaign, and we’re hugely proud of it. It’s great to see the hospitality industry opening up as well as inter-county travel and no better way to discover our beautiful island than in a ŠKODA”.
