The team at Bonfire have produced a multi-media campaign for ALONE designed to galvanise its multitude of supporters, volunteers and older people. ALONE’s response to the pandemic has been widely praised and recognised as being to the forefront in helping older people through the crisis. But as a result they have barely had a chance to catch their breath. Staff, donors and volunteers have worked tirelessly to help deal with the huge increase in demand on their services.
This campaign is all about motivating by saying ‘Thank You’ and building on the enormous goodwill that has been built up over recent times. Each ad within the campaign features two images alongside each other; an older person and a supporter or volunteer. All real people, all photographed safely, individually and lovingly by Mike O’Toole.
The campaign began end of October in The Sunday Times and will start appearing on JC Decaux posters sites across the country shortly. In addition there will be a co-ordinated social media campaign featuring the participants and their stories. All creative services, photography and media space has been donated pro-bono.
“This year has been very challenging for ALONE with a huge surge in demand on our services and Bonfire have been really professional in responding to rapidly-changing and urgent requests for help," said Seán Moynihan, CEO of ALONE. "The quality of their creative work is outstanding.”
