Ireland’s much-loved tea is celebrating its iconic community of fans; putting their art (and their love of Barry’s Tea) at the heart of its new campaign ‘We Make the Tea, You Make the Art’ developed by Thinkhouse.

The campaign was inspired by the community of Barry’s Tea Superfans who have always, unprompted, felt motivated to make and share their own Barry’s Tea fan artwork, inspired by their love of the brand. It was the perfect way to show their appreciation for their Superfans.

‘We Make the Tea, You Make the Art’ is a collaborative campaign showing up across social, digital, OOH / DOOH - including a unique, bespoke line of merchandise. The campaign features a callout to the aforementioned community of fans to have the winner’s art featured in the next OOH campaign.

The campaign launched this week featuring a beautiful collaboration with fan and artist Claire Provost - who created a unique piece of art inspired by her take on the nation's love of Barry's Tea. The stunning artwork is featured on billboards across the country, showcasing the unique blend of creativity and tradition that makes Barry's Tea an icon of Irish culture. The artwork will also be turned into a limited edition Barry's Tea branded crew neck sweatshirt (the perfect gift for any Barry's Tea superfan.)

Camille O'Flanagan, Marketing at Barry’s Tea, had this to say “We’re very excited about this campaign and to kick it off with such a talented artist as Claire. Barry's Tea has a long-standing reputation as a much-loved Irish brand, and this collaboration is a small way to demonstrate our commitment to supporting Irish culture and the arts. We‘re looking forward to seeing the fan artwork that comes in.”

Claire Provost said; "Barry’s Tea is such an iconic part of Irish culture and I wanted to create a piece of artwork that would reflect that. I hope people will enjoy the artwork as much as I enjoyed creating it."

Claire Provost’s abstract design ‘Homecoming’ can be interpreted as a mother and daughter or two pals enjoying a cup of tea, enjoying that beautifully simple moment sitting at the kitchen table and catching up with a loved one. A very limited amount of these exclusive Barry’s Tea crew necks will be available for fans to buy through the Barry’s Tea website for €24.99.
