For advertisers and media planners, the integration of existing blue chip media currencies is an urgent goal.
Thursday 3rd October
08:30 to 09:30
Core Media offices, 16 Sir John Rodgerson’s Quay
Free to attend, all welcome.
In the UK it’s known as IPA TouchPoints. In other markets it’s just called a multi-channel planning system.
Work has begun on the project here in Ireland. IAPI believes it willl enable the industry to better integrate consumer reality into its planning approaches. The research will not replace existing media currencies.
Telmar is one of the software bureau who present IPA TouchPoints data. Their system is the most ‘user-friendly’ in the UK marketplace. (Over 75% of TouchPoints subscribers use Telmar).
Using the software it takes just a few minutes for users to create anything from a classic timeline to a share of voice. It enables users to run multi-media schedules for TV, Radio, Press, Internet, etc and produce reach & frequency across all media from the TouchPoints Channel Planner data.
Telmar also has additional functionality such as exclusive reach (which illustrates what reach each media in the schedule mix contributes exclusively).
In order to help media planners better understand the idea of integrating Irish media currencies and TGI, Telmar will brief Irish agencies, media owners, research companies and members of JNRS, JNLR, JNOR & TAM committees.
By visualising it, it will be easier to get a handle on how the data is presented and used and why we urgently need this in the Irish market.
