Alex is the COO of Brain Juicer is coming to Dublin for the first time. He will be challenging conventional views that we consume advertising from a very rational point of view. Brain Juicer’s tested theory is that we are more likely to respond to this more emotionally. This is good news as it points to more creative ways of how we produce advertising.
Biography: Alex started his career at Unilever and knows more about your hair and your armpit than normal people. After 7 years there he moved to the agency side and was a Planning Director at Saatchi & Saatchi and then moved to run the brand valuation practice at Interbrand, becoming Managing Director at a time of phenomenal growth.
A regular on the media and conference circuit, Alex thought he should see if he could actually manage brands rather than just talk about them, so returned to the client side as Vice President Global Brand at Orange (launching the brand in 12 countries), Marketing Director at Royal Mail (as it faced competition for the first time in its 350 year history) and Chief Marketing Officer at TomTom. He joined BrainJuicerŽ as the Chief Operating Officer. He is the current Chairman of the Marketing Society and has been a member of its management board since 2003.
