Confidence and Presentation workshop
Tuesday 9th July
09:30 to 17:30
Studio 6, Dance House, Foley Street,
The workshop is for people who are giving pitches already, or about to start do so. It will look at developing creativity and communication skills through theatre based exercises, including trust exercises and improvisation.
A series of highly motivational exercises will be used in a safe and positive environment. These are designed to encourage you to realise your full potential in the artificial circumstances of a pitching session so that, by the end of the day, you will have an increased sense of self-awareness, particularly when making pitches.
The exercises will also explore how you relate to others, helping to heighten and develop skills in the following areas:
• Self-confidence and the ability to influence others
• Trust (trusting others and gaining the trust of others)
• Listening and reacting skills (knowing when to listen and when to speak)
• Communication skills within a team and with a client
• Spontaneity skills within a prepared pitch
• Perception/sensitivity/empathy within the team and with a client
• Working in teams with both new and established colleagues
• Thinking creatively/laterally
PS Come dressed in sweats/casual clothes as you will be moving around a bit – no heels!
